Starting a podcast means putting a live email address out into the world. Pinecast allows you to do that without revealing your personal email to listeners, and without making you manage a separate inbox.
Setting up email privacy is easy: opt-in by flipping a switch when setting up your show, or in your podcast settings. Enabling email privacy replaces the email address published in your feed with a forwarding address managed by Pinecast.
Once you opt-in, Pinecast sets up an email address on listener.email just for your show. There's no second step. We'll use that forwarding address anywhere an email is published.
When someone emails the address, we'll automatically forward it to the email we have on file for your account. Replying to messages replies from your personal email address.
